If you were to import a Japanese car to the Philippines, would you rather...

Buy it in Japan —> import it to PH (shorter distance covered) —> convert from RHD to LHD (due to stupid registration law)

...or...

Buy it in America —> import it to PH (longer distance covered) —> no conversion needed (because it's already LHD)

From Murica, it's a lot less hassle free. I mean if you want to convert to LHD, you'd have to strip the entire interior, move mechanical things around, do some wizardry and put it all back together again.

Are you capable of doing the conversion yourself, are the required parts relatively easy to get and cheap, do you have plenty of time to do this conversion and would you enjoy doing this conversion?

If the answers to those questions aren't overwhelmingly 'yes', import a LHD vehicle.

Converting it seems like an extremely annoying task.

So you're saying to get a car legal in PH, you have to get it from America , the place where it's fucking impossible to get the coolest JDM cars?!?

Not all must be. Surplus JDM cars would come here, be converted to LHD, registered, boom ! Popular choices would be the Toyota bB and second-gen Nissan Cube.

You act as if converting then isn't a big job.

I don't, I understand that it's a long process. Grabbing parts from America, mirrored interior placements, etc. takes a long time to accomplish.

The USDM Supra turbo is much powerful and has better brakes, turbos (steel vs ceramic), and larger injectors than the JDM one. It also uses an AFM system instead of a MAP system.

Problem is $$$$$$

It's REALLY long. To do it right, you have to get a half cut or at least the firewall to weld that on. Plus dash, wiring, pedals, etc. Lots of welding .
